MESSAGE TO MY CONSTITUENTS FROM PETER LUFF MP

I am today announcing my decision to continue as your MP only until the next election when I will stand down as Member of Parliament for Mid Worcestershire. It has been an immense privilege to serve the county of Worcestershire in Parliament - for twenty three years by the time the next election is held in 2015.

LOCAL MP WEARS HIS “MINISTERIAL HAT” TO VISIT THROCKMORTON

Mid Worcestershire MP Peter Luff, who is also Minister for Defence Equipment, Support and Technology, was on his home patch at Throckmorton on Thursday.  He was receiving on behalf of MoD the first of a batch of new equipment designed to monitor the mechanical health of armoured vehicles from the contractor, General Dynamics.

LUFF MAKES SURE LEFTIES WON’T BE LEFT OUT IN THE CLASSROOM

Another battle has been won in Peter Luff’s long campaign for left-handed rights.  That was the reaction of the Mid Worcestershire MP to the news that the Government’s new National Curriculum for primary and first schools will ensure left-handed pupils receive specific teaching to meet their needs.

DOUBLE GOOD NEWS FOR LOCAL ARMED SERVICE FAMILIES

At a meeting with Wychavon councillors on Friday, Mid Worcestershire MP Peter Luff congratulated the council on its plans to provide new homes in the county for former members of the armed forces and for injured servicemen. Earlier in the week he had also welcomed news of increased funding for armed services accommodation in the Budget.

RAIL PEACE FOR RESIDENTS OF BREDICOT

Residents of Bredicot will soon be able to sleep soundly again as their MP, Peter Luff and Councillor Rob Adams have secured from Network Rail the promise of the removal of the recently installed southbound whistle board at the Bredicot footpath crossing.
