COMMUNITIES URGED TO USE NEW PROTECTION FOR LOCAL PUBS

A plan to give local people more say over the future of their pubs was announced yesterday. It was immediately welcomed by Mid Worcestershire MP Sir Peter Luff. As Chairman of the Business, Innovation and Skills committee in the last Parliament he called for just such powers to be introduced.

SIGNIFICANT FALL IN LOCAL UNEMPLOYMENT

Nigel Huddleston, Conservative Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Mid Worcestershire has welcomed new figures showing 800 fewer people in the Mid Worcestershire constituency are now claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance since 2010 – a drop of 56 %  (including 276 fewer or a 30% drop in the year to December alone).

Sir Peter Luff, MP for Mid Worcestershire, has declared victory in one of his longest campaigns after receiving a letter from the Highways Agency confirming that the whole length of the M5 between Junctions 9 and 4a of the M5 will have a low noise surface by the end of next year.
